I believe that therapy can create a secure space in which to feel, explore, and grow. I believe that your feelings, thoughts, anxieties, strengths, and patterns all make sense within the context of your life. Many of us are stuck in old patterns and reactions that no longer serve us, and we will explore the areas of your life and relationships where you would like to see change, movement, or growth. I believe that humans are naturally inclined toward healing and growth, and that healing often takes place within the context of safe relationships. I strive to create a space that is warm, trusting, and accepting, and to build a collaborative therapeutic relationship where you feel understood and comfortable enough to unpack what is causing pain or distress. You can expect me to show up with authenticity, non-judgement, and a sense of humor.
In working with adults, children, families, and couples/intimate partners, I come from a client-centered and systems theory background. I draw from Narrative, Internal Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Therapy, as well as play and art therapies, and I work from an LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodivergence-affirming, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive stance.
