Some problems cannot be adequately addressed in individual therapy because they require parts of a family to work together in order to create change. Family therapy can be helpful for many different family systems: parents with young children, parents with adult children, blended families, chosen families, sibling sets. Family therapy can be a safe place to heal shared trauma, process grief, improve communication, reduce conflict, and navigate difficult life transitions. As trained family therapists we can help you learn new communication skills, identify attachment injuries, reorganize family hierarchy, provide parenting education and support, improve relationships, create healthy boundaries and navigate developmental changes and transitions.
Therapy models that are particularly helpful in family therapy include Systemic Family Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Solution Focused Therapy.
We would love to help your family connect and grow!
