Graduate Level Therapy Intern
I am currently a student in the Couples and Family Therapy at the University of Oregon and hold a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Houston, with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. My passion lies in working with couples, individuals, and families to foster positive connections and create meaningful change.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I am a systemically oriented therapist, drawing from various modalities, including narrative therapy, attachment-based therapy, internal systems therapy, solution-focused therapy, and experiential therapies. When working with couples and intimate partner systems, I primarily use emotionally focused therapy.
I believe in a client-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative approach to therapy. You are the expert in your life, and I am here to support you in connecting to internal and external resources. My goal is to create a safe space where you can explore and work through emotions and experiences. I view connection as a fundamental aspect of the human experience and strive to help my clients build stronger, more positive connections with themselves and others.
Current areas of particular interest to me include acculturation experiences and acculturative differences, women’s issues, self-esteem, relationship issues, and sex therapy.
