As a systemic therapist, I play an active and collaborative role in helping my clients recognize their own inherent strengths and actualize their goals toward personal growth and healing in all aspects of their lives. By navigating your experiences together and at your own pace, I believe we can create a safe and non-judgmental space for long-lasting, even if incremental change. In my work with adult individuals and couples, I support and encourage my clients by using a client-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach. More specifically, I utilize a balance of both solution-focused and emotionally-focused therapy as well as elements of internal family systems and strategic therapy techniques in the treatment room.

Clients can expect from me to be open, authentic, and nurturing in our interactions, which I find allows me to build trust and a solid rapport in our therapeutic relationship. Once this rapport is established, I then begin incorporating a more directive and gently challenging position in therapy to motivate my clients in facilitating the changes we have been brainstorming during our sessions in their everyday lives. Additionally, as a gay, Filipino-American cis-gender man, I am committed to serving diverse individuals within the community through a socially just and culturally attuned lens.

Some of my areas of interest include: anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, anger management, grief & loss, identity development, life transitions, self-esteem, OCD, LGBTQIA+ issues, racial/ethnic identity concerns, relationship issues, sex therapy, infidelity, open relationships/ethical non-monogamy/polyamory, men’s issues, and deconstructing toxic masculinity.
