I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who specializes in treating anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar spectrum disorders, insomnia, and PTSD; I also have a strong interest in the mental health needs of the LGBTQIA+ community. My education includes a Master of Science in Nursing from Georgia State University. My work as a psychiatric RN gave me the opportunity to work at state hospitals, safety net general hospitals, crisis stabilization centers, and mobile crisis services, which gave me a robust appreciation of the way mental health is affected by a variety of factors, from the socioeconomic to the spiritual. I strongly believe in individualized care and value client input into medication planning. I also believe in the capacity of each individual to learn, grow, and change, and I apply this to my work with clients.
